SC Zeus Breaks Ground on Flagship Japan Data Center - Setting a New

Standard for AI-Ready Infrastructure in Osaka

Osaka, Japan – December 3, 2025 - SC Zeus Data Centers Pte. Ltd. (“SC Zeus”), a

Singapore-headquartered digital infrastructure developer, has officially broken ground

on its first data center in Japan — ZEUS OSA 1, located in Nanko, Osaka Prefecture.

The ceremony marks a major step in SC Zeus’s accelerated expansion across Asia-

Pacific.

Occupying 13,957 sqm, ZEUS OSA 1 will deliver IT load of 70 MW over two

phases, supported by a secured 100 MW power allocation from Kansai Electric Power

Company. Designed for next-generation AI and cloud workloads, the facility

incorporates modular engineering, patented partial free-cooling, and targets

an industry-leading PUE of 1.19.

To address the rapidly increasing demands of AI infrastructure, ZEUS OSA 1 features

a fully liquid-cooling-ready architecture, including Direct-to-Chip support, and is

engineered for densities of up to 130 kW per rack. Its modular construction approach

enables efficient phased deployment and expansion throughout its lifecycle.

“Japan represents a cornerstone in our Asia-Pacific growth strategy,” said Joe Gooi,

CEO of SC Zeus. “ZEUS OSA 1 is designed for the future — scalable, energy-

efficient, and AI-ready from day one. It reflects the strength of our integrated platform

and IP-driven engineering, while our prefabrication approach offers a practical

solution to Japan’s MEP labor challenges. Our commitment to Japan extends beyond

a single development. We are here to establish long-term partnerships, contribute to

Japan’s sustainability goals, and enable digital transformation across the region.”

ZEUS OSA 1 has already garnered strong interest from global cloud providers and AI

infrastructure operators seeking high-performance capacity in Japan. The project

underscores SC Zeus’s commitment to supporting Japan’s digital economy through

its vertically integrated platform, which spans investment, design, development, and

operations of hyperscale-grade facilities.

Aligned with Japan’s Green Transformation and Digital Garden City initiatives, SC

Zeus is partnering with local contractors to apply energy-efficient cooling, resource

optimization, and environmentally responsible construction practices to maximize

long-term community and operational value.

SC Zeus is one of Asia’s fastest-growing data center platforms, with active

developments in Japan and South Korea, and new expansions underway in Thailand

and Australia. Ranked 4th among the Top Ten Global Data Center Startups by Data

Centre Magazine, the company is focused on delivering sustainable, modular, and

high-performance infrastructure for hyperscale, AI, and enterprise customers.
